Shimla, March 7: Under the patronage of Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court,
Hon’ble Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, and the guidance of Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Executive Chairman of the H.P. State Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat will be held in all courts across the state on March 8, 2025.
To facilitate the public, an online payment option for compounding fees via ePay (eCourts Digital Payment) has been introduced, particularly for Motor Vehicle (MV) challan cases in Traffic Magistrate courts.
Ahead of the Lok Adalat, extensive efforts have been made to spread awareness through IEC (Information, Education & Communication) material, involving local bodies, NGOs, Panchayati Raj representatives, para-legal volunteers, and public transport services.
So far, 1,03,500 cases have been identified for settlement in the upcoming Lok Adalat. Regular meetings are being conducted with Bar Associations, insurance companies, banks, and financial institutions to ensure effective case identification and resolution.
For those with pending cases, the National Lok Adalat on March 8 presents an excellent opportunity for an amicable and speedy resolution.
