“Pakistan ki har saazish ka milega munh-tod jawaab”
SHIMLA – Former Himachal Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Jai Ram Thakur, on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan and the Congress, hailing PM Modi’s firm response to terrorism and accusing the Opposition of “speaking Pakistan’s language in a time of national crisis.”
Backing PM Modi’s swift actions, Thakur said:
“Pakistan-sponsored terrorism will now get a reply that their naslein yaad rakhenge.”
“PM Modi didn’t even go home after cutting short his foreign tour. He directly briefed the nation and met victims’ families in Kashmir the next morning.”
“PM Modi has chaired four major meetings today including one with the three service chiefs – message is loud and clear: Pakistan will pay the price.”
Thakur revealed that in a decisive move, the Government has asked Pakistani nationals in India to leave, cancelled several visas, and significantly reduced Pakistani Embassy staff.
“This is not the first time Pakistan has tried such cowardly conspiracies – from 1965 to Kargil to Pulwama – har baar Bharat ne muhtod jawab diya.”
Thakur slammed the Congress party for its “timid and shameful silence.”
“Instead of standing with the country, Congress leaders are raising questions or playing the blame game.”
He mocked the party’s excuse over a controversial post, saying:
“A tweet posted without Rahul Gandhi’s consent? Who believes that drama anymore?”
Without naming the minister, Thakur demanded his resignation for allegedly mocking the Army and downplaying the terror threat.
“Does such a man deserve to be in the Cabinet? CM should sack him immediately.”
“From every house in Himachal, there’s a jawan serving the nation. We won’t tolerate Pakistan sympathisers or Army mockers here.”
Jai Ram ended his address with a stern warning:
“Be it 1965 or 2025 — the result will be the same. This time, the lesson will shake their generations.”

Shimla: At 11, he chose cricket over chaos, discipline over distractions.
When Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a record-breaking 101 off just 35 balls in his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals, the world stopped and stared.
A boy barely into his teens stunned seasoned international bowlers and rewrote IPL history—becoming the youngest player in men’s T20 cricket to score a century.
But his story began far from the stadium lights—in a modest home in Smastipur in Bihar, where his father sold family land to fund his cricket dream when Vaibhav was just 11.
Now living in Prayagraj, Vaibhav's rise has been meteoric.
He's all over Instagram reels, YouTube channels, Facebook pages—his humility and talent have made him a household name not just in India but worldwide.
Youth in Himachal Speak Out: "We see Vaibhav as a symbol of what’s possible if you stay clean and focus," says Satvik Machhan, a student at DAV New Shimla who is pursuing his first passion Cricket.
"Instead of peer pressure to try drugs or waste time, there’s now pressure to be like Vaibhav—fit, focused, and fearless," adds Daksha Banchta. a school student from Shimla.
Recognizing his powerful influence, the Himachal Pradesh Police has roped in on Vaibhav's stradom as a Youth Icon to inspire youngsters to shun drugs and chase bigger goals.
Vaibhav on Social Media:
“No shortcuts. No substances. Just practice, pain, and patience,” Vaibhav posted recently, echoing the very mindset that's earned him millions of followers.

Will He Stay Grounded?
That’s the question. With brands, influencers, and media houses chasing him, Vaibhav’s challenge isn’t just cricket—it’s balance.
But if his track record of humility and discipline continues, India might just have found its next great cricketet after Gavaskar, Kapil Sachin, Sahwag , Dhoni, Virat Rohit—not just of cricket, but of youth hearts.

Jai Ram Thakur Slams Sukhu Govt for Imposing ‘Jajiya Tax’ on Hindu Pilgrims Visiting Choorhdhar Shrine
Shimla, April 29, 2025 — Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur has launched a scathing attack on the Sukhu-led Congress government, accusing it of imposing a “Hindu pilgrimage tax” on devotees visiting the revered Choorhdhar shrine, which he likened to the controversial ‘Jajya tax’ imposed by Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
In a strongly-worded statement issued from Shimla, Thakur alleged that the state government’s decision to levy a fee on pilgrims undertaking the Choorhdhar yatra reflects its “Hindu-phobic mindset.”
He claimed that devotees visiting their isht devta, Shirgul Maharaj — the presiding deity of people in Chopal (Shimla), Sirmaur, Solan, and even the Jaunsar-Bawar belt of Uttarakhand — are now being forced to pay to offer prayers.
“After Aurangzeb, it is CM Sukhu who has dared to tax Hindu pilgrims. Now, even bowing before our deity costs money. This is shameful,” said Jai Ram Thakur.
“Whether it's visiting temples or making birth certificate corrections, Sukhu’s government has become addicted to imposing fees.
In just two years, the Congress has turned into a ‘tax collection government’.”
Thakur highlighted that the Choorhdhar shrine holds immense cultural and spiritual significance for people across regions.
“Families offer the first produce of their fields, dairy items like ghee and milk, and perform rituals of gratitude after recovering from illnesses.
There’s a strong emotional and spiritual connection with Shrigul Maharaj. Taxing this sacred journey is an assault on our traditions,” he said.
He further criticized the government for not only taxing devotees but also charging for horses and mules used during the pilgrimage, causing distress to both pilgrims and local service providers.
The BJP leader also took a jibe at the Chief Minister’s past remarks.
“The CM once said he defeated 97% Hindutva ideology. Perhaps that’s why he’s targeting Hindu faith now.
But let him not forget — he didn’t come to power defeating Hindutva, he came riding on false promises and ten guarantees which his government now doesn’t even mention,” Thakur said.
Demanding immediate rollback of the “pilgrimage tax,” he urged the Sukhu government to stop its anti-people measures and focus instead on delivering its election promises around jobs and development.
