The government needs to vaccinate 75000 people daily in the state, says Anup Nautyal, president of Social Development for Communities Foundation(SDCF) , an NGO working with the communities in the state.
Citing the government data for the last 50 days analysed by the SDCF, Nautyal said there are 4934219 citizens in the 18-44 age group that needed to be vaccinated in the coming 50 days to achieve the target. It is unlikely if one goes by the past trend of vaccination for the 50 days in the state, he says.
In all there are 77,29466 people in the state who need to be vaccinated.. Uttarakhand needs 154,59932 shots to be given to the both age groups in the state, says Nautyal. .
He said state needs 3750707 doses that comes to around 75014 doses per day to achieve the target. from November 2-November 11 only 28461 doses per day were given for the last 10 days. .By any standards, if the government goes on like this there is no magic wand it can achieve the target, he observes.
