Apple Farmers in Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, and Kinnaur Brace for Hailstorms Amidst Peak Bloom Season
SHIMLA: With the apple bloom season in full swing across lower and middle altitudes of Himachal Pradesh, apple farmers in regions like Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, and Kinnaur are on high alert following a weather advisory issued by the IMD.
The alert warns of heavy rainfall, hailstorms, lightning, and gusty winds ranging from 40-50 km/h in the next 72 hours.
The potential threat of hailstorms has put apple farmers on edge, particularly those areas where anti-hail nets are yet to be installed to shield the delicate crop.
