SHIMLA: The Education Minister, Rohit Thakur, inaugurated the Rural Livelihood Center in Chopal. The center was constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore.
Chopal MLA Balbir Verma who is from the BJP was conspicuous by his absence.
The minister stated that the center will provide training to local youth, enabling them to start their own businesses and become self-employed.
The newly constructed building is equipped with modern facilities to facilitate self-employment training for youth in rural areas.
The minister directed officials to establish connections between the ITI (Industrial Training Institute), Block Development Officer's office, and the Aajeevika Bhavan to ensure effective utilization of the building and provide training opportunities to the youth.
The building features various amenities such as a hostel, practical classrooms, a computer laboratory, and parking facilities for the students. The Education Minister personally inspected the building during the inauguration.
Several dignitaries, including Rajneesh Kimta (State Congress Committee General Secretary), Surendra Mohan Mehta (Divisional President), Chandramohan Thakur (Nagar Panchayat Vice President), Narayan Chauhan (Sub Divisional Magistrate Chaupal), Dr. Sunil Thakur (General Manager Skill Development Corporation), and departmental officers, were present at the event.
