Addressing cultural programme on The Ridge where the three days long Shimla International Literary Festival-2022 (Unmesh - Festival of Expression) is going on occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Bhardwaj said Shimla city is an internationally renowned tourist and political city as well as a literary city.
He welcomed over 400 litterateurs from across the country and abroad on their arrival in Shimla and described the history of the city.
The famous nagara player Nathu Lal Solanki gave his performance in the cultural program. Apart from this, artistes from Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti also presented cultural programmes.
On this occasion Additional Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Sahitya Akademi President Chandrashekhar Kanwar, Akademi Secretary K Shri Niwas Rao, Director Language and Culture Department Dr. Pankaj Lalit and other dignitaries and officials of Language Department were present on the occasion.
