SHIMLA: State Government has unveiled plans to establish a L1 Trauma Centre at IGMC Shimla. It will provide the critical care and medical assistance to accident and emergency victims.
According to the government, the State Cabinet has given its resolute approval to create 136 posts for nursing and para-medical staff for Trauma Centre.
With the Centre operational 24x7, it will cater to the urgent medical needs of patients round the clock.
Trauma Centre will house six key departments- Neurosurgery, Radiology, Plastic Surgery, Anesthesia, Orthopaedics, and General Surgery- equipped with latest facilities.
This integration of expertise and advanced medical equipment promises to save countless lives in critical situations.
Chief Minister Sukhu said Trauma Centre will bolster the emergency healthcare system, allowing for faster and more accessible medical services for the people.
This will also expected to alleviate the burden on medical personnel by operating in three shifts. By creating a conducive working environment, the Trauma Centre aims to enhance efficiency and provide superior medical attention to patients.
In the near future, robotic surgery will be introduced across all Medical Colleges in the State.
