CJ of High Court of HP with Judges at the launch of Mobile App

SHIMLA:  Mr. Justice Mohammad Rafiq, the Chief Justice, High Court of Himachal Pradesh today launched a user-friendly  Android-based Mobile Application of High Court of Himachal Pradesh for legal fraternity and general public. The App will provide instant information related to legal matters, lawyers, bars, case status, judgements et al at the click of the button on the mobile phone.  

Chief Justice launched the mobile app in the august presence of the judges of H.P. High Court,   Ms Justice Sabina, Mr. Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Mr. Justice Vivek Singh Thakur,  Mr. Justice Ajay Mohan Goel, Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma, Mr. Justice Chander Bhusan Barowalia,  Ms. Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua and Mr.Justice Satyen Vaidya.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice said the Computer Branch of the Registry in collaboration with NIC scientists has developed a user-friendly android- based Mobile Application of High Court of Himachal Pradesh. It has upgraded features such as Advocate directory, case status, judgments and orders search with multiple options like cause list, digital display, free text search, e-gate pass, my diary, important judgments and links for District Courts’ websites  and the like, he said.
He said that with these unique features, this Mobile App by and large is best in the country by any High Court.  This will benefit  Advocates, Litigants and general public. This App also has facility to seek the feedback of the user.  He also said that the High Court of H.P. is also in the process of making H.P. High Court as well as District Courts WiFi-enabled
The Registrar General Virender Singh while welcoming the guests on the occasion said that the maximum use of the application is by the members of the Bar. The valuable suggestions received in this regard will help  upgrade  and improve App in order to meet the changing needs of different components of justice delivery system, he added.                        

On this occasion,  Ashok Sharma, Advocate General,  Bal Ram Sharma, Assistant Solicitor General of India for High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Ajay Kochhar, President Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh and  Lovneesh Kanwar, President, H.P. High Court Bar Association were also present.

Among other present on the occasion were all the Registrars and Central Project Coordinator of High Court. The Office bearers and other members of different Bar Associations form the State and District Judges and other Judicial Officers of the State were present through virtual mode.
