Shimla | March 8, 2025: A century of excellence,
a legacy of leadership, and an unshakable Edwardian spirit—St. Edward’s School, Shimla, stepped into its 100th year with a grand inaugural ceremony, setting the tone for a year-long celebration of its glorious journey.
The school, which has shaped generations of leaders, thinkers, and achievers, kicked off its Centenary Celebrations on March 8, 2025, with a grand event graced by none other than Ambassador Manpreet Vohra, an illustrious Edwardian and one of India’s most distinguished diplomats.
With a stellar career as India’s High Commissioner to Australia, Belize, and Kenya, and Ambassador to Mexico, Afghanistan, Peru, and Bolivia, Vohra embodies the Edwardian values of excellence, service, and leadership—the very essence of this institution.
A Celebration of Legacy and Achievement
The day wasn’t just about looking back—it was about celebrating the present and inspiring the future. A felicitation ceremony honored outstanding student achievers, while the unveiling of 'Centenary Tales'—a book capturing the literary and artistic expressions of students—added a creative touch to the event.
School Manager Fr. Dexen Antony released the book, calling it a tribute to Edwardian creativity and innovation.
The energy in the air was infectious as former Edwardians took the stage, sharing memories of their school days in an interactive session. Some joined virtually, sending in heartfelt video messages that took everyone down memory lane.
But the real showstopper? The unveiling of the new school logo by Ambassador Vohra—a symbolic nod to the school’s incredible journey and its vision for the future.
