SHIMLA: Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said there is a message behind every art which needs to perceive and create awareness.
Governor spoke this as a Chief guest at the Shimla art festival in which 200 artists partcipated. “Shimla Art Festival” was organised on the Ridge Shimla by the Department of Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh. The festival could not be organised due to Covid for the last two years, he said.
He said that this was a fine opportunity for the painters of the country and the artists of the state, through which a proper platform has been provided to them for which the department deserves appreciation.
Padmashri Shyam Sharma apprised the Governor about his artwork. More than 200 artists participated in this festival held from 22nd to 24th April. This time 25 artists were invited to this festival.
It was open for all and canvas and colors were provided to them by the department. This festival is being organized since the year 2017.
Director Language, Art and Culture Dr. Pankaj Lalit welcomed the Governor on the occasion.
