SHIMLA:  Himachal Kala Sanskriti Bhasha Akademi, Ocard India  and Kavikumbh, a literary monthly magazine, organized  the festival of poetry at Rotary Town Hall here today in which renowned Hindi writers and poets participated.  

In this festival, December issue of Kavikumbh was launched. The issue focuses on the work of renowned story writer SR Harnot and the works of other writers of Himachal.

Pankaj Lalit, Director, Language and Culture Department was the chief guest while editor of Setu Patrika, Devendra Gupta, senior writers Srinivas Joshi, Ranjita Singh Phalak, Jaiprakash Tripathi and S. R. Harnot were the special guests.

Ranjita Singh Phalak , the organizer of the event said literary discussion was held in which Meenakshi F. Paul, Vidya Nidhi Chhabra, Atma Ranjan, Devendra Gupta, Ranjeeta Singh Phalak  gave their talks.  

Srinivas Joshi presided over  the second session of the program.

It was followed by Kavi Sammelan- cum-Mushaira in which Ranjeeta Singh Phalak, Jaiprakash Tripathi, Atma Ranjan, SR Harnot, Satish Rattan, Sumit Raj, Kuldeep Garg Tarun, Ramesh Dhandwal, Gupteshwarnath, Madhu Sharma, Bharti Kuthiala, Deepti Saraswat Pratima recited their poems and ghazals.

At the end of the program, the editor of Kavikumbh, Ranjeeta Singh Phalak talked about the purpose of Kavikumbh in Shimla.

She said she would like to organize some big literary events in future in Shimla  to connect more with the writers  and literature lovers of the state.
