He was born at village Kubum Taktser in Domey province of Tibet on July 6, 1935.

He was recognized as the avatar of the 13th Dalai Lama, Thubten Gyatso when he was just two years old.

From Leh in  Ladakh to Dharamshala, from  Shimla in Himachal to Gangtok in Sikkim, the gompas and monasteries echoed  with payers for peace and love of humanity as anchored by the spiritual Guru not only for Tibetans and Buddhists, but  also for the entire Himalayan fraternity and the world at large.

His "child-like simplicity and spirituality" rooted in Himalayan natural heritage inspire hopes of millions of people in the Himalayan  states, which are feeling the heat of climate change with its life support systems of bio-diversity, glaciers, permafrost and ice towers melting and depleting at a disturbing speed.

His admirers and followers wished him long life and support for his timeless message of "oneness of Humanity" at a time when Corona pandemic has brought the world together as never before to work for oneness of humanity to protect Planet Earth from climate change.

He said “anger and fear” are the destructive forces that hinder our peace of mind.  But by cultivating compassion and love, we can effectively control these negative emotions, he asserts sharing his insights.

In a world ridden with conflicts and stress and climate change,  the Dalai Lama recognized the need to "educate individuals about the workings of the mind and the inner systems of emotions and to protect Earth for humanity at large".

He called upon humanity as a whole to unite in this effort, highlighting the importance of understanding and managing our emotions.

Despite being just one human being, he expressed his determination to contribute to the betterment of the third world and create a positive impact in the long term.

His ultimate goal is to promote brotherhood and unity, transcending different religious traditions, for the benefit of all.

In the Buddhist tradition, it is believed that every individual possesses the potential for enlightenment within them, referred to as Buddhi Nature, he said.
