Shimla: Newly Elected MLA Anuradha Rana Meets CM Sukhu here today, Seeks Action on Lindur Village Crisis.
In a detailed interaction with Chief Minister Sukhu here today, newly elected MLA Anuradha Rana from Lahaul-Spiti discussed the critical situation in Lindur village.
The villagers there faced threat to life as Lindur has been affected by severe cracks and subsidence caused by the Jahalma drainage.
Highlighting the urgency, MLA Rana presented the issues from all concerned parties, prompting the Chief Minister to instruct the Chief Secretary to take necessary actions immediately.
The District Administration and Horticulture Department have been directed to provide sprinkler pipes to the affected villagers, which are expected to reach Lindur by tomorrow.
Additionally, the completion of a water tank for the village is underway.
In preparation for emergencies, four relief shelters have been designated in Goharma village by the district administration.
MLA Rana assured that all possible efforts will be made at her level, emphasizing her commitment to the community.
In addition to the Lindur village crisis, MLA Rana discussed several other significant issues affecting the Lahaul-Spiti tribal belt with CM Sukhu.
These included:
1. Infrastructure Development: The need for improved road connectivity and the repair of damaged infrastructure to ensure better access and mobility for the residents of the region.
2. Horticulture and Agriculture Support
Addressing the challenges faced by farmers and horticulturists due to changing climate conditions and ensuring the provision of necessary resources and support from the government.

5. Educational Opportunities: Enhancing educational infrastructure and resources to provide quality education to the children and youth of the district.
