SHIMLA: The forest fire has taken the life of forest guard Rajesh Kumar who succumbed to the serious burn injuries at PGI Chandigarh on Tuesday.
Rajesh Kumar had sustained burn injuries while fighting the forest fire in Saili forest beat of Bangana sub-division in Una district few days ago.
He was rushed to PGI for treatment but the doctors could not save him.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has condoled the sad demise of Forest Guard Rajesh Kumar.
Chief Minister prayed the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
But the forest department has yet to announce the relief for the bereaved family.
