New Delhi: Kramyogis of Project Vijayak, under the Border Roads Organisation (#BRO), hoisted the National Flag at Hombotingla Pass on the Kargil Batalik Road on the eve of the 75th Republic Day. Republic Day Parade unfolded with grandeur at Kartavya Path, Delhi, showcasing the nation's progress and unity.

This year, the Government of India extended special invitations to over 15,000 individuals from diverse sectors. Notably, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) invited more than 1500 farmers, beneficiaries of central government schemes, to witness the momentous parade, including the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana.

President of France Macron's visit to India as chief guest of the Republic Day began from  Jaipur and culminating in the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi's words reflect the deep friendship and collaboration between our nations, marking a significant chapter in our shared history.

President Droupadi Murmu accompanied the Chief guest to the parade and they were welcomed in a traditional salute by PM.

To enhance the experience, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) organized a two-day program and training for these special invitees on January 25th and 26th, 2024.

The comprehensive training session covered key government schemes and initiatives, including the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Per Drop More Crop, and PMFBY, along with a field visit to the renowned fields of PUSA Campus.

The program commenced with an inaugural ceremony attended by Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Tribal Affairs, Shri Arjun Munda, and MoS Sushri Shobha Karandlaje.

They emphasized the government's commitment to the economic well-being and welfare of farmers.

On Republic Day, the special invitees witnessed the spectacular parade at Kartavya Path. Post-parade, Union Minister Shri Arjun Munda interacted with the farmers at PUSA, joined by MoS Sushri Shobha Karandlaje and Shri Kailash Choudhary, among others.

The Union Minister highlighted key achievements in agriculture, including a fivefold increase in the agriculture budget, record-breaking production, and significant MSP hikes.

Initiatives like PM-KISAN, PMFBY, and organic farming schemes underscored the government's commitment to farmers' welfare.

The event concluded with farmers participating in a group photo session alongside ministers.

The Republic Day Parade also celebrated Nari Shakti, with impressive march-pasts by women earning standing ovations.

President Droupadi Murmu and French President Emmanuel Macron arrived at Kartavya Path in a traditional buggy, making a comeback after 40 years.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare's initiative brought farmers into the heart of the Republic Day celebrations, highlighting their crucial role in shaping the nation.

In a historic moment on Republic Day 2024, the first-ever all-women Tri-Services contingent proudly marched down the #KartavyaPath, symbolizing a significant stride towards gender inclusivity in the armed forces.

Their disciplined and synchronized march was a powerful testament to strength, resilience, and dedication, breaking gender barriers and inspiring generations.
