Chamba: A massive landslide struck the Manimahesh pilgrimage route near Dal Lake, between Guinala and Donali in Chamba district, on Wednesday around 3 PM.
Fortunately, there were no casualties as the area was deserted at the time.
This incident has caused significant damage to the route, just ahead of the start of the Manimahesh Yatra from Chamba.
This comes on the heels of another landslide that hit the Badrinath Highway near Patalganga in Chamoli district the previous day, causing further concerns about the stability of mountain routes in the region.
