Rohru- Public Works and Youth Services and Sports Minister Vikramaditya Singh announced a budget allocation of Rs 134 crore for improving the roads in Rohru.

On a day long tour of Rohru, he  expressed his special bond with the Rohru assembly constituency and emphasized the need to repair roads, including the Rohru to Chirgaon and Samolipul to Gawas routes.

The road from Samoli bridge to Gavas will be paved before the Shant Mahayagya in January. MP Pratibha Singh acknowledged her family's connection to the Gudaru temple and praised late Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's contributions to the area. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mohan Lal Brakta also spoke at the event.

During a public meeting at Gudaru Devta's temple in Gwas village,  Vikramaditya Singh said necessary approvals would be obtained under various budget schemes, with an allocated budget of Rs 134 crore.

The Public Works Department would be responsible for executing the road improvement projects.

Vikramaditya Singh shared his family's special connection with the Gudaru temple and the deity. He expressed his intention to prioritize the repair and development of the area, particularly focusing on the road from Rohru to Chirgaon and the road connecting Samolipul to Gawas village.

Budget provisions would be made to support these initiatives.

The minister also announced plans to pave the road from Samoli bridge to Gavas before the Shant Mahayagya, scheduled for January next year, to facilitate the movement of people visiting the area.

MP and Congress State President Pratibha Singh, who has a deep connection with the village and the deity Gawas Gudaru, highlighted her family's association with the temple.

She mentioned the frequent visits of the late Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to the temple and the significant development that he brought to the region. Pratibha Singh expressed confidence in Vikramaditya Singh's commitment to serving the area, stating that he would continue to serve the people like his father.
