SHIMLA: In a protest against the nine-month rule of the Sukhu Government in Himachal Pradesh, the BJP organized a rally outside the Vidhan Sabha today and termed the Congress rule as a complete disaster in the state.
The BJP protestors raised slogans against the Chief Minister at Chaura Maidan in which top BJP leaders, including State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna, and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur spoke.
The BJP leaders strongly criticized the Congress government, accusing it of failing to fulfill its election promises and guarantees made to the people.
They highlighted various issues plaguing the state, including the deteriorating law and order situation, joblessness among the youth, and a struggling economy.
Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur slammed the Congress government for its lack of vision and alleged mismanagement during natural disasters.
He also criticized the government for its handling of recruitment exams and the treatment of outsourced employees.
State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal pointed out that the Congress government had promised to provide financial assistance to women in the state but had failed to deliver on that promise.
He also criticized the government for increasing the prices of essential commodities and imposing taxes on various items.
Avinash Rai Khanna, the BJP's state in-charge, condemned the state government's unreasonable decisions and accused it of misleading the public with tempting allurements.
He emphasized that the central government had honored women through various schemes, while the Himachal Pradesh government had not fulfilled its promises to women.
The BJP leaders vowed to continue their role as a strong opposition and demanded that the government address the concerns of the people and fulfill its election guarantees.
