Shimla: BJP is poised for victory in three states while Congress is winning Telangana. The state BJP is in celebration mood after looking low after the BJP got drubbing in the last Hp assembly elections in 2022.
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur emphasized the resounding approval of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, citing it as the country's sole guarantee for development, anti-corruption efforts, and poverty alleviation.
Speaking to journalists in Shimla, Thakur commended the voters for rejecting what he termed as false guarantees given by the Congress and the Indi alliance.
He credited the success to the Prime Minister's commitment to fulfilling promises and expressed confidence in an even larger mandate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Thakur specifically addressed Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's failed guarantees in Himachal Pradesh, pointing out instances like the cow dung scam.
He highlighted the challenging situation faced by the Himachal Congress leaders, unable to connect with the public amid growing skepticism about unfulfilled claims.
Corruption cases in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh were also brought to the forefront, with Thakur noting the Lal Diary scandal in Rajasthan and the Mahadev Up scam in Chhattisgarh.
The Leader of Opposition asserted that these controversies have weakened the Congress stronghold in Chhattisgarh.
As the election results unfold, the BJP looks set to secure victories, reaffirming Prime Minister Modi's name as the nation's guarantee for progress.
