SHIMLA: The IAS Officers’ Association of Himachal Pradesh expressed deep sorrow at the sad demise of P. Mitra former Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh on 27th April, 2022.
Rakesh Kanwar, General Secretary of the Association said that P. Mitra belonged to the 1978 batch of IAS and served the State in different positions.
He retired from the service as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Later, he also held the office of State Election Commissioner of Himachal Pradesh.
CM Condoles Mitra's Death
The IAS Officers' Association extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family at this moment of grief and prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has also condoled the demise of former Chief Secretary and former State Election Commissioner P. Mitra who passed away at New Delhi today.
Chief Minister said that P. Mitra had performed his duties with devotion and dedication during his government service in various capacities besides as State Election Commissioner of Himachal Pradesh.
Jai Ram Thakur prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
