DHARAMSHALA: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced, among other things, a Degree college at Kotla in Jawali constituency of Kangra district.
Addressing a public meeting today at Kotla during his tour to Jawali assembly he announced the upgradation of Primary Health Centre Kotla to Community Health Centre. He also announced opening of new health sub centre at Jol, opening of new patwar circles for Jangal, Siyuni, Salda and Bhatoli panchayats and industrial training institute for Kotla.
Chief Minister said the science classes would start in senior secondary schools at Bhali and Solda and commerce classes at senior secondary schools at Trilokpur and Amni.
Chief Minister said that the famous and ancient Baglamukhi temple complex at Kotla would also be developed under Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein Yojna.
This would be a destination of religious tourism for tourists visiting Kangra valley. He also directed for completing the formalities with respect to construction of ECHS building which will go a long way to benefit hundreds of ex-servicemen of the area.
He also directed the forest authorities to submit a report for utilization of forest training centre in Kotla which was closed in 1998.
He announced providing budget for construction of veterinary dispensary building at Pathiyar, erection of open gymnasiums in Siyuni and Bhali panchayats and taking up the case of construction with Railways for construction of railways over head bridge.
Earlier, Chief Minister laid foundation stones and dedicated various developmental projects worth Rs. 69.44 crore in Jawali assembly segment. It included dedication of Rs.4.42 crore upgradation of Kotla-Solda- Siyuni road, inauguration of Rs. 3.21 crore upgradation work of Dhamin –Wahin road and other projects.
Jai Ram Thakur said that workers of BJP also ensured that all possible help was provided to the needy during the time of pandemic. Lakhs of masks, sanitizers and food kits were distributed free of cost to the people in need.
He said that the Congress leaders did nothing during this big challenge and were busy in politicizing this sensitive issue. He also lauded the gesture of especially members of Mahila Morcha for making and providing 50 lakh cloth-made masks and providing them to the masses.
MLA Jawali, Arjun Singh Thakur thanked Jai Ram Thakur for dedicating developmental projects worth crores to the people of Jawali assembly area and laying foundation stones of 11 various schemes.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania, MP Kishan Kapoor, former MP Kripal Parmar, MLA Rita Dhiman, Chairman Kangra Central Cooperative Bank Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, Chairman General Industries Corporation Manohar Dhiman and others were representatives were present to give a united show before the public.
