SHIMLA: As many as 192 medical officers on May 18 heaved a sigh of relief after state government on Wednesday regularized their services with immediate effect.
The MOs are posted at PHCs and CHCs in different parts of Himachal Pradesh providing health care facilities to the patients in rural Himachal.
The issue of their delay in regularization of their services along with other issues of the state retried medical officers, was highlighted by HimbuMail, a web newspaper based in Shimla.
Taking cognizance of comprehensive news report, the principal Secretary health Subhashish Panda issued notification dated May 18 to this effect regularizing the services of 192 MOs in the state.
The health department has constituted the screening committee and recommended the regularization of 192 doctors who have completed two years on March 31, 2022 in service with immediate effect.
The medical officers will be regularized in the pay band of rupees 15,600- 39 100+Rs 5400 Grade Pay plus NPA and other allowances as admissible under rules from time to time with an immediate effect, stated the notification.
HP Pradesh Medical Officers Association( HPMOA) President Dr Jivanand Chauhan has welcomed the decision and urged the state government to solve other pending matters as well.
