SHIMLA: The consumers in Shimla will get the chemical free produce from Friday under "Natural Farming Khushhal Kisan Yojana" .
Mobile vans will be stationed at key locations every Friday, making fresh natural farming products easily accessible.
Initially, this pilot project will involve farmers from three nearby development blocks selling their chemical-free fruits and vegetables directly.
The initiative aims to eliminate intermediaries and connect over 200 farmers with consumers.
This move is part of the state government's efforts to promote natural farming and support farmers' welfare, with more than 1.71 lakh farmers adopting natural farming practices in the past five years.
Starting from September 15th, the initiative will commence at the State Secretariat and HPU campus in Shimla, providing consumers with farm-fresh, healthy options.
