BARAGARH(KULLU): Shania Khullar, a 11th class student of Lawrence School Sanawar proved her mettle as an actress and a singer by winning hearts of the elite audience in a school stage play in New Delhi on Sunday.
Born in the Valley of Gods in a family of Khullars, Shania acted in a lead role of a princess in the play which won the hearts and appreciation of the audience in Zorawar auditorium, Manekshaw Centre New Delhi.
The stage play was a part of the Lawrence School, Sanawar cultural extravaganza, celebrating its historic 175th year of excellence.
Shania gave credit of her performance to her school headmaster, Himmat Dhillon, Senior Mistress Anju Suri and house Mistress Kamla Vaidya. They all fostered her skills, she said.
Among the audience was the prominent citizens and alumni of the school to the grand event titled as With A LI’L Bit of Luck.
Shania is a multitalented girl as she has also won a first prize in the national painting competition earlier, bringing laurels to the school, Valley of Gods and her parents.
Shania has grown from her early childhood days from “a Alice in Wonderland’ to an urban upwardly mobile confident girl, who can Act, who can Sing and dance and who can create Paintings as well”, recalled one of close family friends of Khullars.
Her father Nakul Khullar is a hotel magnate of Baragarh Spa and Resort, Naggar near Manali and a progressive apple orchardist of the valley. He has many awards to his kitty.
“We all are proud of Shania’s achievements as a student. We thank the school management for giving her a right platform to prove her talent”, said Nakul Khullar and Smita Khullar, his wife.
