KULLU: Devaj Gupta from DPS International School Delhi has brought laurels for India by winning the second highest place in Chemistry at the International Science and Engineering Fair(ISEF), the highest fair for the high school students from across the world.
The ISEF is held at Atlanta in the US from May 7 to May 13 every year.
Devaj Gupta represented India at ISEF. He and his team won the second position in the Chemistry stream competing with the top-notch 1700 students representing 68 countries from across the world.
ISEF is a prestigious science and engineering fest for the world’s best high school students. The Science fair gives a global exposure to the students in the cutting-edge science and engineering stream.
Devaj has a Himachal connection. He is son of Mohit Gupta and Niti Khullar Gupta, sister of Nakul Khullar, Baragarh spa resort magnet from Kullu-Manali.
Commenting on the win of his ‘Bhanja’, Nakul Khullar said Devaj is a brilliant boy and student who has brought laurels not only for the entire family, but also for India and Himachal as well.
“Devaj has achieved a big thing, showing his talent among world’s top students at the prestigious global science and engineering fair. “We will celebrate the occasion and we wish him good wishes for achieving greater things in life”, he added.
