Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, revealed that SGEL participated in the bidding process for wind power developers to set up 1200 MW grid-connected projects across India.

SGEL won the bid for a 200 MW project at a tariff rate of Rs. 3.24 per unit, following the open competitive tariff bidding process.

Sharma further explained that SGEL will develop the 200 MW wind project anywhere in India through an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract.

With the addition of this project, SJVN's wind portfolio now totals 497.6 MW. Currently, two projects with a combined capacity of 97.6 MW are operational, while three projects with a combined capacity of 400 MW are in various stages of development.
