Industries Minister Bikram Singh said that three new branch offices of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) would be opened in Shimla, Kangra and Bilaspur districts.
Presiding over the 40th meeting of Regional Board Employees State Insurance Corporation. he said Government of India has provided in-principal approval to open the branch offices in the state.
Industries Minister said that Medical Tribunal of Employees State Insurance Corporation would soon be constituted in the state and the matter is under process with the state government.
He said that the facilities being provided under Employees State Insurance Corporation are also being strengthened. Medical Camps are being organized by the Corporation on 15th of every month in various industrial premises for labourers working in industries. He directed the officers of ESIC to ensure availability of Medicines in various institutions.
Bikram Singh asked the officers to provide ESIC registration facility to beneficiaries in timebound manner and to improve coordination with various institutions. Various other issues were also discussed in the meeting.
Additional Chief Secretary R.D Dhiman, Director Heath Safety and Regulation Sumit Khimta, Director Heath Services Dr. Anita Mahajan, Member Secretary ESIC Regional Board Sanjeev Kumar and other senior officers also attend the meeting.
