Delhi Kinnaur Students Association Hosts Annual Function to Promote Culture and Address Climate Change
New Delhi: The Delhi Kinnaur Students Association organized its annual function in Delhi, reaffirming its commitment to preserving and promoting the rich culture of Kinnaur.
The event also highlighted pressing issues such as the impact of climate change on water and soil productivity.
Jagat Singh Negi, Revenue and Horticulture Minister of Himachal Pradesh, attended the function as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the need to safeguard Kinnaur’s cultural heritage and natural resources in the face of environmental challenges.
Ramesh Negi, former Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh and President of the Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI), a civil society group advocating sustainable development in the Himalayan states, was the guest of honour.
He was felicitated on the occasion for his contributions to the cause of sustainable development.
