Rampur: The 4-day International Lavi Trade Fair in Rampur, Himachal Pradesh, concluded with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri participating as the chief guest in the closing ceremony.
Deputy CM Agnihotri highlighted the significance of the Lavi Fair, emphasizing its historical importance for both business and the people of Rampur.
He assured that the state government would fulfill all commitments, citing the implementation of the One Rank, One Pension (OROP) scheme for government employees.
Addressing the recent calamities in the state, he commended the swift response of the government and announced a financial package of 4500 crore rupees for affected families, covering housing and livestock losses.
Agnihotri appealed to the central government for the prompt release of the 5000 crore rupees claim, stressing the need for expeditious implementation of 36 water projects worth approximately 200 crore rupees in the Rampur region.
Local MLA Nand Lal expressed gratitude for the successful organization of the Lavi Fair and urged the administration to provide government land for those affected by recent disasters to rebuild their homes.
In the awards ceremony, the Agriculture Department secured the first position in the exhibition category, followed by the Water Power Department and the Horticulture and Transport Department. Handloom awards went to Sanjay Handloom Kaza, Shyama Devi Sangla from Kinnaur, and Mani Handloom Recongpeo from Kinnaur.
The fair showcased various exhibitions, and Deputy CM Agnihotri, along with other dignitaries, toured the exhibits presented by different departments.
The event was attended by officials, local representatives, and notable personalities, including the Chairperson of the Shimla District Council, Chandra Prabha Negi, and the Secretary of the Fair Committee, Nishant Tomar.
