Nakur Khullar, Srgina and Kair at art exhibition at Naggar in Kullu district Himachal

NAGGAR/SHIMLA- Renowned painter Manpreet Kaur, hailing from Ludhiana, Punjab, has kicked off her anticipated exhibition of paintings at the Art Gallery Naggar here. The exhibition has turned out to be a feast for the eyes that has  captured  attention of the art lovers from the across the region and outside world.  

The event was inaugurated at the International Roerich Memorial Trust in Naggar, with Nakul Khullar, the recipient of the prestigious Award of Excellence and Director of Taj Baragarh Resort & Spa IHCL Selection, doing the honours.

Notable personalities such as Chhavindra Thakur, Harish Vaidya, Gunal Khullar, and Shania Khullar graced the occasion as special guests.

Art enthusiasts can enjoy the exhibition from June 15 to June 18.

Nakul Khullar took a moment to highlight the significance of Naggar, stating that it owes its international recognition to the Russian painter Nikolai Roerich, whose works at the Roerich Art gallery continue to inspire artists worldwide.

He then drew attention to Manpreet Kaur, a talented painter originally from the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.

Khullar remarked that Kaur, who has been associated with the region since childhood, has now established herself as a prominent artist in Punjab.

He further elaborated on Kaur's artistic journey, emphasizing her ability to capture the natural beauty and struggles of rural life through vibrant colors on canvas.

For the past 22 years, she has skillfully depicted the complexities of nature and human existence, providing a direct and emotive experience for viewers.

Visitors to the Roerich Art Gallery can witness the tension inherent in natural scenes and the disparities of human life vividly portrayed in Kaur's artwork.

Kaur's paintings showcase the picturesque rural landscapes, the majestic Himalayas, the graceful birds, and the serene beauty of Himachal Pradesh.

Using a harmonious blend of acrylic and oil colors, her artwork encapsulates the essence of life, displaying both its splendor and the fragility of nature.

The exhibition's opening left tourists and art enthusiasts thoroughly impressed by the captivating beauty emanating from Kaur's paintings.

Russian curator Larisa Surgina commended Kaur's ability to capture the essence of nature, the rural environment, and the movements of animals and birds with such dedication.

Surgina noted that Kaur's commitment to her craft enables her to convey human emotions, life's ups and downs, and the captivating beauty of nature on canvas, making her an inspiring figure for all.

Manpreet Kaur's exhibition promises to be a visual feast, showcasing her remarkable talent and profound artistic vision. Visitors can immerse themselves in the awe-inspiring world she creates through her masterful brushstrokes and passionate expression.
