Uttarakhand's Char Dham Yatra: No More Hassles or Scams, Just Sacred Journeys? But this time, Pilgrims must mind their trash and junk!
DERHRDUN: Hold onto your hats, PILGRIMS ! Uttarakhand Police is cracking down on Char Dham Yatra shams like never before.
They have made highways safer if one goes by their assertions. Yatra starts officially from May 10, 2024.
Picture this: 76 sneaky websites blocked in a blink of an eye! Uttarakhand Police, with their buddies from the Special Task Force and the Ministry of Home Affairs' Intelligence crew, are on fire.
These cheat 76 websites, offering heli-rides to Char Dham have been booked and blocked, keeping pilgrims safe from online tricksters.
Pilgrims can now book heli flights by logging into the official website: www.heliyatra.irctc.co.in
But wait, there's more! Big shots like Director-General of Police, Mr. Abhinav Kumar, and Chief Secretary, Ms. Radha Raturi, rolled up their sleeves and hit the ground running.
They're personally checking out the scenes at Kedarnath, where Lord Shiva reigns supreme, and Badrinath Dham, the abode of Lord Vishnu, making sure everything's tip-top for our pilgrim pals.
And let's not forget about Gangotri and Yamunotri, where the holy rivers Ganga and Yamuna originate, and the temple towns of Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world, and Uttarkashi, all part of this epic journey!
And as if that wasn't enough, the Chamoli Police are throwing some serious safety moves.
They've slapped up those cool curved mirrors at blind turns along the hairy Badrinath National Highway.
The traditional puja was performed at Joshimath temple invoking blessings of Lord BadriNarayan for safe yatra for all.
Now, drivers can see what's coming, keeping accidents at bay and giving pilgrims a smoother ride.
The Uttarakhand local authorities are not articulate on as to what they intend to do to tame the tonnes of trash littered along the trekking rotes and in towns left behind by the pilgrims.
But let's not forget the bumps in the road. The 2000 km pilgrimage routes starting from Rishikesh are relatively smoother this time.
Last year, over 50 lakh folks made the pilgrimage, but some had a rough time at many patches.
The double engine government of Pushkar Singh Dhami and the Modi Government have done up the Char Dham as never before.
But too much dough for darshan, chaos on the trails, and trash everywhere? Not cool. Will the bigwigs in Uttarakhand set things right and show those money-grabbers who's boss?
Many pilgrims taking videos of overcharging by the purohits and their agents had hit the social media last year. We expect some soul-searing on the part of Purohits and their class at the Char Dham, be as saintly as Lord of Land- Lord Kedarnath.
With all these cool moves in play, pilgrims gearing up for the spiritual adventure can finally chill.
As the gates to the Dhams swing wide open on May 10 signaling the start of the summer pilgrimage season, Uttarakhand's got your back.
It's all about safety first, making sure every step of your journey, from Rishikesh to Gangotri, Yamanotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath, is as holy and hassle-free as it should be.
But Mind your trash and junk!
