View of Kullu-Manali in Himachal Pradesh

SHIMLA - Anticipating a boom in tourism Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced plans to establish three luxury hotels along the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane to cater to tourists and commuters.

The hotels, equipped with modern facilities, aim to enhance the tourism experience in the state.

But he did not reveal whether or not private players will be involved in the luxury hotels or it would be set up by the state-run HPTDC only.

A consultant has been appointed to ensure the smooth implementation of the project, he said while holding a meeting with the top officials.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of developing tourism infrastructure and predicted a surge in tourist inflow once the four-lane road becomes fully operational.

The state government is committed to providing basic amenities and creating employment opportunities for the local population.

Highway-cum-Tourist Police Stations will be set up at strategic locations along the Kiratpur-Manali National Highway to ensure the safety and security of commuters.

The meeting also featured a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects by the Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation(HPTDC).
