Shimla: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) executed search operations across seven locations, including Delhi, Gurgaon, Samana, Ghaziabad, and Chennai.
The focus of these operations was the then three officers associated with SJVN and a private company in connection with an alleged Rs 191 Crore scam related to an underperforming wind power plant in Khirvire, Ahmedabad in Maharashtra.
During the searches, the CBI recovered incriminating documents from the premises of the individuals involved.
The investigative agency has estimated a loss of Rs 191 crore to the Central public undertaking as a result of the suspected fraudulent activities supplying materials and equipment not up specifications mentioned in the tender. The scam caused the loss to the tune Of Rs 191 crore to the SJVN, camimed CBI.
CBI has not disclosed names of three SJVN Officials and the company involved in the scam.
