Kupvi, Chopal: Continuing his grassroots initiative 'Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar', Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu became the first CM to stay overnight in the remote Kupvi region.
Donning a traditional Loyiya, Sukhu spent the evening around a Ghiyana, bonfire, with villagers, discussing their challenges and solutions in the chilly Tikkar village.
Like in Dodra Kuar, Sukhu’s picture flashed by the public relations department makes for perfect photo ops.
The CM's visit was marked by his empathetic interactions, as villagers voiced concerns about healthcare, education, and public services during harsh winters.
Sukhu responded with on-the-spot directions to officials and highlighted government schemes like Revenue Lok Adalats and MSPs for milk, maize, and wheat.
Sukhu also enjoyed local delicacies, folk music, and cultural exchanges, reinforcing his commitment to bridging gaps with far-flung villagers.
Accompanying Sukhu were Health Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil and Congress General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta.
