Dhalli Bus Stand Nears Completion, Inauguration Soon: Deputy CM Agnihotri
Shimla, September 5 – Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, along with Ministers Anirudh Singh and Vikramaditya Singh, inspected the nearly completed Dhalli Bus Stand today. The project, originally estimated at ₹17 crores, has been completed for ₹13 crores.
The bus stand, which will soon be inaugurated, features key facilities like two Regional Manager offices, shops, a conference hall, waiting rooms, and a canteen.
Agnihotri emphasized that Dhalli Bus Stand will ease commuting for upper Shimla and help reduce congestion. He also announced a ₹24 crore renovation for the adjacent HRTC workshop.
HRTC to Buy 700 New Vehicles
HRTC is set to purchase 300 electric and 300 diesel buses, along with 100 Tempo Travellers, to update its fleet. Additionally, the entire fleet of 24 Volvo buses will be replaced.
Agnihotri highlighted the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme for HRTC employees and confirmed timely salary payments. He reiterated the government's efforts to strengthen HRTC's services, especially for remote areas.
The inspection was attended by key HRTC MD Rohan Chand Thakur and others.
