Shimla, In a golden opportunity for the youth of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, and Kinnaur, Major General K. P. Singh, VSM, inaugurated the Agneepath Scheme's Agniveer Recruitment Rally at Prithi Military Station, Averipatti, Rampur Bushahr. Taking place from November 18th to November 24th, 2023, the rally aims to recruit 2355 youth from these districts into the Army.
During the rally, candidates will undergo physical eligibility tests, physical measurements, and medical examinations. Major General K. P. Singh emphasized the importance of discipline and devotion among officials and organizers, ensuring a transparent and fair recruitment process. Colonel Pushvinder Kaur, Colonel DS Samant, Colonel Mohit Singh, and Lieutenant Colonel RL Pradhan were also present during the inauguration.
Major General K. P. Singh cautioned candidates to avoid misinformation from brokers and fraudulent individuals, assuring that the recruitment process is clear, transparent, and solely based on ability. The entire rally is closely monitored by CCTV cameras and videography. The message conveyed was clear – the opportunity for army recruitment is free, transparent, and solely dependent on the candidates' abilities.
