HP Police recruitment 2022 test in July 3, 2022

SHIMLA: After burning its finger in the last “paper leak scam”, Himachal Pradesh Police on Sunday conducted the written examination peacefully under strict surveillance of CCTV cameras and jammers without reporting any case of unfair means in which over 69427 candidates appeared for the 1334 posts.

According to the police department spokesperson, out of 75681 candidates, who had qualified the physical fitness test, 69427 (92 per cent) appeared for written examination on Sunday. As many as 6254 candidates were reported absent.

All candidates, who qualified the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) concluded on 03.03.2022 were eligible to appear for the written examination.

Earlier the police recruitment examination was scrapped following a large scale leakage of paper that had led to  the state-wide public outcry against the government,  with opposition parties demanding resignation of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and DGP.

The HP police have filed chargesheet against 91 persons on Saturday, while handing over the case to the CBI as announced by the Chief Minister remained uncertain so far.    

Today the written examination was conducted at 87 examination centers in all 12 districts of the state with the DGP Sanjay Kundu monitoring the whole process himself from the Police Headquaters here.

As many as 75803 candidates were qualified in ground test, out of which 75681 candidates were allowed to appear for the written examination after restricting 122 candidates, who were involved previously using foul means, police said.

For the smooth and fair conduct of written examination Police department installed CCTV cameras in all the examination centres. The provisions of videographers were made where CCTVs were not available.

Thorough frisking of all the candidates were done before allowing them to enter the examination halls.

Provisions of Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD) & door frame metal detector (DFMD) were made at the entrance of examination centres.

As many as 1351 Jammers were installed in almost all examination centres/halls to block/restrict all kinds of external communications through electronic devices.

Centre Superintendents and invigilators were hired from Government /Private Educational Institutes for fair and smooth conduct of exam.

Flying Squads headed by Superintendents of Police and Commandants were constituted for surprise checking in the examination centres in all districts.

Vigilance teams from the State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau were deployed to keep surveillance over malafide practices and the activities of any kind.

CID teams were deployed for collection of advance intelligence regarding any suspicious activities.

Three senior level IPS officers were appointed as observers in three police Ranges of the State under the overall supervision of  Abhishek Trivedi, IPS, ADGPAP&T-cum-Chairman, Police Recruitment Board.

D.K Yadav, IPS IGP (Admn & Welfare) was deployed as observer for Southern Range and  Bimal Gupta DIG-PTC for Central Range and Santosh Patial, IPS, DIG Intelligence for Northern Range Dharamshala.

In addition to the police personnel and supporting staff, 126 GOs were deployed for duties during written examination.

During the written examination, the DGP-HP and ADGP-AP&T-cum-Chairman HP Police Recruitment Board remained present at PHQ Shimla to monitor the whole activities.

DGP Sanjay Kundu has congratulated Abhishek Trivedi and all Police officers/officials for smooth, peaceful, seamless, transparent and fair conduct of written examination.
