SHIMLA: As many as 26 prosecutions have been registered by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force under the NDPS Act under which 33 accused have been apprehended.
According to the police, the police searched 41 units of pharma in Himachal’s industrial corridor. Out of this, the police have slapped notices to 2 units.
The police say they have adopted the Zero tolerance policy towards the illegal drugs to stem the menace in Himachal Pradesh.
For the prevention of drugs in the state, the state government has constituted an anti-narcotics task force which is continuously working for the prevention of drugs.
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force is using drug free Himachal app and toll free helpline no. 1908 to provide information about drug traffickers by the general public to catch drug smugglers.
The police say the public can give secret information to police on this number without giving his identity.
Apart from this, the anti-narcotics task force is making the general public aware about the ill effects of drugs through an awareness campaign. At present, Pradhav campaign is being run in which suggestions related to tackling the problem of drug addiction are being taken from school / college students.
Winners who give good suggestions will be rewarded.
Students from 16 to 25 years of age can participate in it.
