PM Modi Highlights India’s Economic Growth and Urges Constructive Parliamentary Session..
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, underscored India's remarkable economic achievements and called for dedicated efforts from all Members of Parliament (MPs) to further the nation's progress.
Addressing the media before entering Parliament, PM Modi stated that India has maintained an 8% growth rate over the past three years, positioning it as the fastest-growing major economy in the world.
He stressed the significance of utilizing the parliamentary platform to work towards the country's development goals, particularly the vision of a prosperous India by 2047.
“We should use this dignified platform of Parliament by dedicating it only to the country. Let us rise above self-interest and focus on fulfilling the dreams of 2047 by creating a mass movement of public participation,” PM Modi emphasized.
The Prime Minister highlighted the beginning of an important session on the auspicious first Monday of Sawan, extending his best wishes to the countrymen.
He urged MPs from all parties to work together constructively during the session to reflect the aspirations of the 140 crore citizens of India.
Modi also noted the historic achievement of presenting the first budget of the third term of his government, which will set the direction for the next five years.
He appealed to MPs to put aside political differences and work towards the common goal of national development. “This session of Parliament has laid a strong foundation to fulfill the dreams of the countrymen,” he said.
Reflecting on the past decade, PM Modi mentioned that the government’s efforts have significantly empowered various sections of society, including women, farmers, and youth.
He called for the continuation of these efforts to ensure inclusive growth and development across the nation.
