SHIMLA: The 9th International Film Festival of Shimla is scheduled for September 22 to 24, 2023, at Gaiety Theatre Shimla here, with the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh inaugurating the event.

This year's festival features participation from 20 countries and 22 Indian states, celebrating storytelling from diverse cultures.
The international category includes filmmakers from the USA, Belgium, Iran, Canada, China, and more. India is represented by 21 states.

The festival has a history of promoting creativity, artistic dialogue, and cross-cultural understanding. With a record number of entries this year, 107 films were officially selected by the esteemed jury, including 38 international films, 64 national films, and five state-specific films.
