SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla, commended the Modi government for investing Rs 13,168 crore in railway projects, aiming to strengthen the state's rail network.
Speaking at Baijnath Paprola Railway Station, he expressed gratitude to PM Modi for prioritizing railway development.
The Governor highlighted the record allocation of Rs 2081 crore in the 2024-25 budget for railway infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh.
He praised the ongoing projects, including the renovation of Baijnath Paprola station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and the introduction of the Vande Bharat Train.
The trains will give a big push for tourism in Himachal, he added.
Governor Shukla also outlined plans for the redevelopment of Shimla station and emphasized the improvement of facilities at railway stations across the state.
