BJP national President Jagat Prakash Nadda today showered praises on the performance of the double engine state-central government in his bid to get party’s cadre out from the spectre of recent debacle in the bypolls, saying that “the BJP will form the next government in the state in 2022 with full majority”.
Addressing the party workers and leaders of Himachal working committee virtually from New Delhi, Nadda invoked the legacy of the BJP as a party, which is just like a family and painted its rivals like Congress and SP and RJDs as parties of dynasts, without naming them. “We have not come to sit on the throne in a democracy, but to serve people”, he said.
Nadda said the except BJP most of the parties in country are inspired by dynasty and suffer from ‘parivarvad’. All the regional parties of the country have also become dynastic parties, he said.
Nadda said the BJP workers are to be the agents of change. “We consider politics as a medium of service. The double engine government is running in Himachal and its effects are also visible”, he said citing various schemes and projects including opening of the Atal Rohtang tunnel. AIIMS, four medical colleges and other institutions launched in Himachal under the BJP rule.
He claimed the BJP is the only party which has internal democracy. "Narendra Modi comes from a very poor family here and becomes the Prime Minister of the country, then an ordinary party worker like me is also the national president of the party", he said giving personal examples.
Nadda cited principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas as the guiding mantra of development of the Modi government for an all-inclusive development in the country.
Nadda reminded the workers by saying that the Modi government in 2014 has restored special category status of Himachal Pradesh, which is now getting financial assistance in the ratio of 90:10 from the Center for the works being done in the state.
He said all the parties were in isolation in Corona pandemic, but all the BJP workers were engaged in public service. India becomes self-reliant in fight against Corona under the Modi government, he said.
Setting aside all rumours over the change of guard in Himachal, Nadda patted back of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur saying that the party workers would strengthen BJP and the Jai Ram Thakur government in Himachal. BJP will repeat the government with full majority in 2022 state assembly elections, he claimed.
Nadda also recalled the times of former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar and Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal and how the party struggled to come to power in Himachal to recharge the party cadre.
Nadda also patted the state BJP organization saying that work is being done on 7752 booths in the state and Panna Pramukh scheme is a hit and the model of Vistarak scheme has also been successful and it has become the model of the country.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, state BJP chief Suresh Kashyap, organization general secretary Pawan Rana, Himachal Pradesh in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna and co-in-charge Sanjay Tandon and all senior office bearers.
