Jai Ram Thakur’s Jibe: “Not a Kilo of Cow Dung Sold, Yet CM Claims Promises Fulfilled”
Shimla: Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, questioning its claims of fulfilling promises.
Thakur said, “Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is boasting about fulfilling the cow dung purchase scheme, but the reality is that not a single kilo of dung has been sold.
People want to know whose dung was purchased and how this so-called guarantee was fulfilled.”
He accused the government of misleading the public with contradictory statements. “First, they said there were no guarantees, and now they claim all guarantees are fulfilled. This government has set records for deceit in just two years,” he added.
On the ₹680-crore startup fund, Thakur asked, “Where did this money go? Which startups were funded? The youth are demanding answers, but the government has none. It’s running on empty promises.”
Thakur also criticized the government’s debt-driven approach. “They’re borrowing every month but showing dreams of a self-reliant Himachal in 2027. What’s the plan for 2025?”
The Opposition leader’s scathing remarks have put the Congress government on the defensive, leaving Chief Minister Sukhu with tough questions to answer.
