SHIMLA- The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has issued an order stating that no person or authority should disrupt the ongoing 'Shaheed Kalyan Singh Memorial Khel Avam Saanskritik Mela' taking place in Halhan, Tehsil Shillai, District Sirmaur.

The order was issued in response to a petition filed by Sh. Kundan Singh, the President of the fair committee.

The petitioner highlighted that the fair, which has been organized for the past 23 years in memory of Shaheed Kalyan Singh, is facing interference from mischievous individuals who have threatened to disrupt the event.

The Court acknowledged the petition and directed that no person or authority should interfere with the event, ensuring the smooth organization of the fair.

The Court also instructed the Mela Committee to maintain cleanliness and hygiene during the event and dispose of any litter or garbage appropriately.

The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Shillai, has been asked to provide a status report on this matter by May 29, 2023. The Court order has been sent to the SDM, Shillai, via mobile phone.
