Over 60 judicial officers transferred in Himachal
Shimla, April 8:
In a major administrative overhaul, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered a large-scale reshuffle in the subordinate judiciary, transferring and posting around 60 judicial officers across the state.
The orders, issued today and uploaded on the High Court’s official website, cover cadres including District Judges, Additional District Judges, Senior Civil Judges and Civil Judges, making it one of the most extensive recent exercises in judicial administration.
Key appointments and transfers include Anuja Sood as District and Sessions Judge, Chamba, Preeti Thakur as Presiding Officer of the Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal in Shimla, and Vikrant Kaundal as Additional Secretary in the State Legal Services Authority, Shimla.
Manisha Goyal has been posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate in Kullu, while Niranjan Singh has been elevated and posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM in Lahaul.
The reshuffle also involves a wide network of postings across districts such as Kangra, Solan, Una, Kinnaur and Chamba, including assignments in District Legal Services Authorities.
A large number of Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates First Class have been shifted to stations -Dharamshala, Nahan, Bilaspur, Sundernagar, Kandaghat and Kullu.
The routine move is aimed at ensuring balanced deployment of judicial officers, filling vacancies and improving the efficiency of the justice delivery system across Himachal Pradesh.
With the orders taking immediate effect, the reshuffle is expected to set off a chain of administrative adjustments across district courts in the coming days.
