Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took a potshot at Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur saying that he is copying (Nakal kar rahein hai) his Delhi model, but without Akal”. “Both Thakur and BJP Chief JP Nadda don’t want an “Imandar Sarkar of AAP in Himachal Pradesh- a Delhi model”, he remarked.
Like his Mandi road show on April 6, Kejriwal’s Chambi show after 17 days on April 23 also turned out be another tactical move played by AAP to draw crowd to convey a message of Its Josh and Taakat at Shahpur in Kangra region.
But no big Neta joined the AAP - neither Maj. Vijay Singh Mankotia, nor did Sudhir Sharma of the Congress as speculated on social media.
Kejriwal is Political Puzzle in Himachal
Kejriwal also continues to remain a political puzzle in Himachal as AAP has no big Neta like Bhagwant Mann in Punjab, who can lead the party at elections in the state.
Kejriwal, however, is no stranger to Aam Aadmi of the hill state. He has already tasted the political pitch of steep and tough hills of Himachal in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, but had got a blank.
In a changed post Pandemic political situation, AAP has started its Juggernaut from Punjab. But in Himachal, AAP Juggernaut still remains an extension from neighbouring Punjab, claimed opposition.
Social media and opposition say people were ferried from neighbouring villages of Punjab, courtesy Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab. Idea was to make the crowd swell with Josh to make inroads into BJP and Congress cadres in Kangra region.
AAP first let public sentiments get ventilated through media. That “some big BJP and Congress netas were joining the party”- 1000 or so. That there would be a change in leadership in BJP in Himachal, Deputy CM Delhi Manish Sisodia had claimed few days ago in Delhi.
But Sisodia has been proved wrong so far. Nothing of that sort happened during Mandi show and it did not happen either at Chambi on April 23.
BJP and AAP Playing Tactical Narrative in Himachal
Interestingly, Kejriwal named BJP Chief J P Nadda, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and Jai Ram Thakur and attacked them in his 20 minutes long speech he gave at Chambi. He did not touch Prime Minister Narender Modi.
Kejriwal did not name any Congress leader at Chambi in a tactical anticipation. From Punjab AAP wants to roll out its Juggernaut on the back of Congress in Himachal.
Ironically, it is Congress that has got an upperhand in the state if one goes by the 2021 byelections. Congress had swept all Four seats- Mandi Lok Sabha, Jubbal-Kotkhai, Arki in Solan, Fatehpur in Kangra -giving a big jolt to BJP.
But after Congress unceremonious defeat in Uttarakhand, UP, Manipur and Goa assembly elections, both BJP and AAP have been trying to change the political narrative in Himachal Pradesh.
Both are trying to make the coming HP contest as BJP versus AAP, which is not the case so far, say the analysts. It is so due to the disturbing silence and non-attacking mood of the Congress at the Centre and in Himachal as its leadership remans unresolved".
BJP and AAP have been trying to write off Congress as it suits them. Congress leaders have yet to wake up to this tactical politics.
It will be no surprise that the common workers mainly Dalits and OBCs may switch over their loyalty towards AAP in days to come as it has already happened in Kangra and Mandi.
This is discernible. BJP tried very hard to keep its SC Morcha cell on a high alert. The BJP pumped in all its Dalit leaders and hold a series of meetings before AAP’s Chambi show.
But Congress did nothing of this sort because of groupism and internal dissensions, say insiders.
Targeting this possible exodus of Dalits, OBCs to increase AAP’ Kunva (tribe) in Himachal, Kejriwal presented himself as the only “a leader in India”. He is a Pucca Desh Bhakt, Corruption-Mukt Neta, works 24 Hours a day (Prime Minister Narender Modi works for 18 hours) and is giving Imandar Sarkar in Delhi.
Kejriwal invoked Gods and Goddesses of Himachal, Inqalab Zinda Baad, Vande Mataram, Bharat Mata ki Jai, the popular BJP slogans to prove his Desh Bhakti among the responsive crowd at Chambi. “We people have come from Jan Aandolan of Anna Hazare”, he said. 
Arvind Kejriwal is a shrewder Neta, but he portrays himself as an simple Sadharan Aadmi. “I donot know politics. But BJP and Congress do dirty politics”, he said in his Chambi speech.
To prove his Imandari of his Delhi model Sarkar, Kejriwal said Delhi board’s 10th recent school result is 99.7 per cent. What is the results in other states- not more than 50 percent or so, he claimed.
How it was achieved? They made Sarkari schools excellent. Four lakh students left private schools and joined Sarkari schools. They did not allow private schools to increase fees for last seven years, Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal asked the Crowd. “What is condition of Sarkari schools in Himachal?. Crowd said Budhal. “If your want to improve them, people should vote in AAP government”, he said.
Similarly he talked about Freebies on power and health. Free 300 units in Punjab. Hospitals and mohala clinics give free medicines, free treatment and free testing facilities in Delhi to over 2.5 crore people”, he said.
Jai Ram Thakur claimed Delhi Model would not work in Himachal because of different social and physical circumstances, Kejriwal said. “But I asked him Delhi model is that of Imandar Sarkar, which Jai Ram Thakur does not want in Himachal”.
God has given everything to Himachal. “BJP and Congress ruled Himachal for 17 years and 30 years respectively and looted it”, Kejriwal charged.
People of the state would now vote in AAP’s Imandar Sarkar, he claimed.
He said the people need not to do rounds of Sarkari Daftars in Delhi. They dial helpline number and sarkari babu visits their house and delivers services at the door step, Kejriwal claimed.
Earlier, Manisha a lcoal netri, an RSS worker Surinder Singh, Naseeb Singh, Ajit Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Suresh Kumar joined the AAP on Friday in presence of Satyendra Jain, incharge of Himachal Pradesh.
