SHIMLA: The High Court of Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with National Judicial Academy, Bhopal and H.P. Judicial Academy, is organizing  “North Zone- II Regional Conference on “Contemporary Judicial Developments and Strengthening Justice Through Law & Technology” on 29th & 30th April, 2023, at Peterhof  Shimla.

The conference will be inaugurated by Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, in the august presence of Mr. Justice Aniruddha Bose and Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol, Judges, Supreme Court of India, on 29th April, 2023, at 9:30 A.M. at Darbar Hall, Peterhof, Shimla.

The Conference will be attended by the invitee Supreme Court Judges, High Court Judges and Judicial Officers of the High Courts of Delhi, Punjab & Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Approximately 160 participants (including Supreme Court/High Court Judges and Judicial Officers), are expected to participate.

The conference is being hosted with an aim to provide a forum for exchange of knowledge, experiences and dissemination of best practices among participant Judges and Judicial Officers, under the respective High Court’s Jurisdiction.

The conference is designed to promote dialogue between participant judges amongst judicial hierarchies on themes including Contemporary Trends in Constitutional Law, Precedential Value of High Court Judgments, Development in Criminal Law, Overview of eCourts Project and Emerging and Future Technology for Effective Judicial Governance.
