DEHRADUN: in a  tragic incident, as many as four children of remote Gogina village in Kapkot tehsil of Bageshwar janpad  of Uttarakhand  were drowned in a river near Gadere on Monday.  

According to Netra Singh of Gogina,  children were drowned in the river that has sniffed light from four families of  the village. “The entire village is  in shock  and darkness over the incident”, he said.

The exact cause of drowning was not yet known, but police suspect ill-fated children had gone for swimming in the river.  More details were awaited.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his grief over the incident  saying that his thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families.
