Dhalli Students Get Industry Exposure
Shimla: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity are the new buzzwords shaping careers.
At such a time, as many as 31 students of Government Senior Secondary School, Dhalli gained fresh industry insights during a three-day on-the-job training programme at Shimla-based Gashwa Technologies Private Limited.
Gashwa Technologies, pioneered by local upcoming tech entrepreneur Pankaj Sharma, has been actively working to bridge the gap between education and industry by opening its doors to school and college students for practical learning.
The training exposed students to real work environments and practical use of modern technologies beyond textbooks.
Along with AI, IoT and cybersecurity, students were introduced to Python, web technologies, blockchain, digital marketing, hardware and networking, web hosting, business development and video editing through hands-on sessions.
School Principal Ranjit Singh Rolak said such programmes bridge the gap between theory and practice and prepare students for future challenges. He appreciated Gashwa Technologies for supporting skill-based education.
The programme was coordinated by Vocational Trainer Praveen Mehta and IT teacher Upasana Negi, who guided the students throughout the training.
Pankaj Sharma said early exposure to industry-oriented technical skills is essential in today’s digital era. He added that Gashwa Technologies will continue to work with educational institutions to make students industry-ready.
Teachers noted an improvement in students’ confidence and technical understanding after the training.
