Lions Club Shimla Donates PT Shoes to Underprivileged Children at Him Giri Kalyan Ashram
SHIMLA: In a continuing effort to support humanitarian causes, Lions Club Shimla has once again extended its helping hand to the Him Giri Kalyan Ashram, Shimla.
The Ashram, which provides free education, meals, and hostel facilities to children from poor families and tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh, received a generous donation from the club.
Responding to a request from the Ashram management, Lions Club Shimla donated PT shoes to all 42 children residing there. The club covered the total expense of Rs. 26,500 for this initiative. The donation was handed over by representatives of the Ashram during a small ceremony.
The event was led by Lions Club President Man Mohan Verma, along with other prominent members including Treasurer C.L. Sankhayan, Vice President O.P. Mehta, and Lions members Sufal Sood, Kapil Dev Sood, and Mukul Sood*.
The management of Him Giri Kalyan Ashram expressed their gratitude for the club’s continued support in improving the lives of the children.
The Lions Club has been actively contributing to the welfare of these children, and their efforts were appreciated by the Ashram’s representatives, said Umesh Sood, its spokesperson.
